Submission of Internship Application Documents


Internship Application Process for Turkish Students 

  • Students must submit their internship applications via email 14 days (10 business days) before the start of the internship. The link below provides the email internship application form and the required documents for the application. It is the student’s responsibility to submit the application documents in the required format and within the specified timeframe. In-person internship applications will not be accepted.

State Employment Registration Form Viewing Process

The SGK Employment Registration Form (SGK insurance enrollment) for students whose internship applications have been approved will be prepared by the Faculty 3 days in advance. Students will be able to obtain the SGK Employment Registration Form 3 days in advance through the e-Government portal. The link below provides a step-by-step visual guide on how to view the SGK Employment Registration Form on the e-Government portal.

 

Submission of Internship Logbooks

  • Students must submit their internship logs via email within 30 days of the internship end date. The link below provides the format for submitting the internship logbook via email, the internship logbook in Word format, the forms required for submission, and the email addresses of the internship committees to which the logbook should be sent based on the type of internship completed.  Students are responsible for submitting their internship logs in the required format and within the specified timeframe. In-person submissions of internship logs will not be accepted.

Internship Site Introduction

Description: “ 8) DESIGNATED INTERNSHIP SITES” contains information on designated workplaces for Workshop/Manufacturing Internships and Energy Vocational Field Internships; there is no need to fill out an Internship Site Introduction Form for these locations. There is no “designated internship sites” list for Vocational Field Internships in other fields.

Students who will complete their internships at workplaces not included in the “designated internship sites” lists must have the signed and stamped Internship Site Information Form, completed by the workplace representative, approved by the relevant internship committee before the start of the internship to have their workplace designated.

Counting Previous Work Experience Toward the Mandatory Internship

Explanation: Article 19, added under the heading “Counting Previous Work Experience Toward Mandatory Internship” in the INTERNSHIP GUIDELINES adopted by Senate Resolution No. 05-05 dated May 23, 2023 (3), students who have worked in a job related to their program of study or who are currently working—provided they meet the relevant provisions of Article 8 of this guideline—must follow the steps below to have their mandatory internships credited.
